I.E.S. ANTONIO CALVÍN in Almagro is the only educational center in Castilla la Mancha that offers all courses in the professional field of Woodworking and Furniture, with three educational levels that guarantee students' comprehensive training and preparation for the world of work or further higher education.

The center promotes adaptation to new technologies and working methods, with spaces, equipment, and teaching staff equipped with the latest advances in automated manufacturing systems using numerical control, 3D printing, or laser engraving and cutting, as well as computer resources using professional design software such as Autocad, Aspire, TwinCam, Mach3, and Inventor. The employment rate for this professional field is 100%, with training in European workplaces thanks to the EU's Erasmus+ program.

BASIC VOCATIONAL TRAINING IN CARPENTRY AND FURNITURE REQUIREMENTS

 

 

-Be at least 15 years old, or turn 15 during the current calendar year,

-Have completed the first cycle of ESO (compulsory secondary education) or, exceptionally,

have completed the second year of ESO.

-Have been recommended by the teaching team to parents or

legal guardians to join a Basic Vocational Training program.
