We invite you to discover the Spanish Language and Literature Department, a space where words become a bridge between ideas, emotions, and people. We are a group of people who believe in the power of words to imagine, understand, and transform reality. Our work focuses on helping students learn to express themselves clearly, interpret the world with a critical eye, and discover in reading a source of enjoyment and reflection .
Through language we learn to think, communicate, and live together. Therefore, we promote reading, creative writing, and oral expression through meetings with authors, writing workshops, competitions, and celebrations of significant dates related to our culture.
Literature allows us to travel through time. In this sense, we accompany students on this journey, from the classics to contemporary works, discovering that literature speaks to us, even if it was written centuries ago, combining active methodologies and digital resources that connect learning with their reality.
Because, as Gabriel García Márquez wrote, "life is not what one lived, but what one remembers and how one remembers it in order to tell it," we teach reading, writing, and, above all, how to tell the world in one's own words.

ACTIVITIES.
From our subject we promote meetings with literary authors , with whom they can share their reading experience; attendance at theatrical works related to the curriculum, to learn about and interpret literary texts that are not only part of the curriculum, but also allow them to come into contact with the theatrical event in its broadest sense (staging, techniques and scenic resources, etc.) participating as an audience that enjoys and values the elements that constitute the work; creative writing and expression workshops, with which we promote the creative use of language; literary competitions and values education through the charity book market and the celebration of significant dates.
